Sunday through Tuesday, I worked on book cover designs for Grobug Tales: Zev, especially Dr. Decay. I am not satisfied with his design yet, but I like the direction of it and the composition for the cover feels good. I should put all 5 covers side by side to see how well they flow and go with each other.
Wednesday, I played with a design for the bird-like enemies who attack the Grobug Camp in the (working title) Grobug Tales: Cadets book. At the last minute I think I came up with a good composition featuring the story circle and the enemy they will face. I can add focus by showing the two primary cadets featured in this book on either side of it and maybe even make it so that a Grobug Seer is showing the group the threat that is coming by way of her powers.
Thursday, I reiterated on the design for Grobug Tales: Cadets, using a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio, as opposed to the 1:1 I want for the picture books. I focused on 3 characters and the enemy, and thought about layering, transparency and use of silhouette.
Friday I worked on designs for the kids in the Grobug Tales picture books. I need to spend more time on them.

Summary 6/11-6/17
I released about 50 minutes of analysis and did 1 hour of writing, plus a couple hours of researching writing craft and coming up with my writing production system. I #amwriting a decent amount and I am happy about that. I plan to keep up this consistency for the 4 weeks and then increase my daily writing. I did the math and when I output 1500 words in one hour, and can do that 6-7 day a week, I will be able to right a 60,000 page book, ever 7 weeks. Factor in another week for editing and revision and If you’re interested in that means I can make a book in about 2 months. I’d like to do that soon.
