In my previous post, I owned my mistakes and took note of my progress and growth. Today, I would like to set some realistic goals for myself. I am resigned to continuing to write in 10 minute bursts, but I am looking to experiment with how that plays out. I feel like I should narrow my focus a bit to work towards completing my projects as opposed to just writing for its own sake.
I am taking one more month off from publishing on the blog. I am working on a special project all August. More details in the post.
I have hardly written all June. Worse yet, I have hardly published anything all June. I'm going to purposely go on a publishing hiatus for the remainder of July.
In an effort to push up the release of Superheroes Get Hungry, Too and just have fun drawing again, I am going to work through each featured character and give them a signature pose.
In this first intentional episode of Stray Thoughts, I ponder how Sione Ga, the Shiner; a Divine warrior could work in a Universe alongside other super humans: good and bad. How does power come from the Divine? How do they interact with the world?
I was struck by a funny thing in the Gospels. The way demon-possessed people encounter Messiah as he travels almost feels like a random encounter from a game and I wondered if I could imitate that for getting the Shiner involved in his adventures.
I decided it was time to take my vlogging to the next level, so here is a video talking about how I will use videos to aide me in my writing.
publishing daily and pushing myself to write and draw every day, 5 days a week, for 10 minutes was certainly a challenge. I am glad it is over and am going to try something new.
I stopped writing for about one week, as I was getting near the end of Sione's account of becoming the Shiner for the first time. I think it is fitting to end the break by finishing his story.
What was that about Genius being 99% perspiration and only 1% inspiration? I am trying to work hard on it. Diligence is hard, but I'm committed to this work.
