WRITING
I am now working on a middle-grade book for Raconteur Press open call coming November 1, 2024! It’s based off an existing idea I had for a much shorter middle-grade book, but they are looking for a word count in the 40,000-50,00 range, so I am going back to formula.
I have outlined 1-31 and am expanding the outlines before diving into the draft. My work flow on this is Brainstorm and Plan > Brief Outline > Outline Expansion > Draft 1. I am in around Chapter 9 in my Outline Expansion.
READING
I am starting Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli.
I have continued listening to Jeffrey H Haskell’s Grimm’s War Book 2. I like it a lot.
I listened to Book 1 of Trapped in a Videogame by Dustin Brady. It is for research, but it was a lor of fun.
