And here’s some of what else I have been up to.
WRITING
I am now working on a middle-grade book for Raconteur Press open call coming November 1, 2024! It’s based off an existing idea I had for a much shorter middle-grade book, but they are looking for a word count in the 40,000-50,00 range, so I am going back to formula.
I added two chapters as I went through expanding the outline. I have chapters 1-18 expanded and it should finish at 33 chapters long at this point. I can feel some things shifting as I expand the outline and I like what I have going so far. I think the story is entertaining, poignant and fun.
READING
I am deep into the Chronicles of Narnia audiobook collection, chronological order. I finished The Horse and His Boy and Prince Caspian and am in the first third or so of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Two more to go after this!
