And here’s some of what else I have been up to.

WRITING

I am now working on a middle-grade book for Raconteur Press that opened up November 1, 2024! I had to go back and rework it in a major way while. I never made it out of the outline. I was making it for more of a YA audience and I realized I had to reel it in.

I reworked some key characters and totally reworked a major subplot scenario. That’s super vague, so I will say it another way: I was putting my main character through a trial that got a little weird. I shifted it to a similar trial, but made it more family friendly and stream-lined the adventure to be much more straightforward.

I am about 9 chapters into the outline rewrite. The plan is to get the outline fully expanded over this week and start Draft 1 after that.
