Kamen Rider Zeztz Is Here — And It Might Be the Sleekest Rider Yet

The newest Kamen Rider has just been revealed—and if early visuals and the trailer are anything to go by, Zeztz might be the most exciting Rider launch in years. From the suit design to the bold global release strategy, there’s a lot to unpack. Here are my first impressions of the newest addition to the Rider legacy.

That Suit Design Is Next-Level

When I first saw the leaks—a few illustrated shots online showing off Zeztz’s forms, including a striking red variant—I honestly thought they were fake. It looked too good. The lines were so clean, the armor so streamlined—it felt more like a slick fan concept than something official.

Compared to recent Riders like Gotchard or Geats, Zeztz looks far less clunky. Even Zero-One, which I liked for its streamlined look, had a bulky belt that got kind of ridiculous (and don’t even get me started on Ex-Aid). Zeztz, on the other hand, hits the perfect balance of modern minimalism with classic tokusatsu grit.

A Throwback with Modern Swagger

The chest harness—what I’m calling the “chest belt”—is especially cool. It reminds me of tactical gear, like the knife sheaths or equipment straps you see on military vests. Not only does that give the design a grounded, rugged vibe, but I think it’ll look amazing in motion. The silhouette is sharp and aggressive while still feeling like a throwback to the Showa era Riders. It’s a real visual callback, and I love that.

Built for a Global Audience

One of the biggest things that stood out: this feels like it was made with a global audience in mind. From what I’ve heard, Zeztz will have a simultaneous release in the U.S., Brazil, and other regions. (Sadly, no U.K. release yet—but here’s hoping.)

Taka from Kotetsu Toys had a great point in his breakdown—this feels very American superhero, but still undeniably Rider. It doesn’t abandon the essence of what makes Kamen Rider unique. Instead, it evolves it. A metamorphosis. And I think that’s the right move if Toei is serious about international growth.

Subbed or Dubbed? The Amazon Question

One lingering question is whether we’ll get an English dub. Personally, I doubt it. Kamen Rider Black Sun had a global Amazon release, but it was subtitled only—no dub, even though this trailer had a lot of English. Zeztz might follow that same path.

Still, if the subtitles are solid and we get an official simulcast, I’m 100% in. Weekly reactions, deep dives, suit breakdowns—you name it.

Final Thoughts — And I Want Yours!

All in all, I’m very excited. Zeztz feels like a smart evolution of the franchise: sleek, modern, action-ready, and internationally aware. If the storytelling matches the visual strength of the design, we could be looking at a new fan-favorite.

But enough from me—what do you think of Kamen Rider Zeztz?
