21/38 is 55% It looks like I failed my assignment! That’s okay. I wanted to fail faster. Let me be clear, I don’t want to fail, but I have resigned myself to it. I plan to fail: less often and less dramatically as I continue to work and stop to assess my work. By the time December 10 rolled around, I realized I just wasn’t doing well enough to keep on going as I had been. I decided to shift to writing for only, or a minimum of 10 minutes five days each week. Counting this post, there should have been 13 posts starting on the 10th. I am at 11/13, which is significantly better! Looking at it that way, I am doing well.
The intention of setting my goal at writing 10 minutes a day, five days a week is to cultivate the discipline of doing daily writing. I am hoping I will be able to hit the target consistently and also become better at writing in sprints. I think I may need to write in sprints for the foreseeable future. I have been writing some hot takes and analysis, but I really want to write my own wholly original work. I am going to have to figure that out soon. I think i will take off this week of New Year’s off of publishing any writing to regroup and shift my approach again. I just checked my calendar and decided to publish tomorrow and Friday December 28. Please look forward to my return on January 7, 2019.
