Blindness

“But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ”

-Luke 16:31

There are some who would balk at my suggestion that there are some things that the Almighty can not do. It is probably more accurate to say there are things that He refuses to do. I think the limitations and restrictions begin to stack up when considering the earthly manifestation of Messiah before His death and resurrection. Messiah rejected the notion of rising the dead, which is something he did with some regularity, for the purpose of waking someone up to the truth and bringing them to repentance.

We only see what we wish to see. No prodding or pushing or magic notion can open up our hearts or minds to something if we are not ready to receive it. We should make sure that we are ready to see. We should pray that we have eyes to see and ears to listen because if we don’t we can never grow or change. If there is someone you are aching to show the light, perhaps the best approach is to keep shining that light and pray that they choose to open their eyes.
