Visit my RedBubble store for some designs I have made. I am working on making a whole series of Rider stuff that I think you’ll like.

Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine from the Toei Fushigi Comedy Series

Created by Shotaro Ishinomori

Screenplay by Yoshio Urasawa

Produced by Jun Hikasa, Masayuki Nishimura, Shigenori Takatera (Toei)

The show had a run of 52 Episodes!

Episode 1 aired January 7, 1990

“Yuko Murakami is an Ordinary High-School Student who goes to a Shinto shrine to pray one day. She knocks down the bell in front of the shrine when she rings it, and awakens Kami-sama, who bestows upon Yuko the power to become a fighter for justice, a Super Hero, as Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine. She transforms with her Orgel Pendant (later with a mirror). She fights all kinds of villains who want to make life hard for children with the help of her magic Belle Sabre.”

Get the episode here, which is where I grabbed the synopsis.

The Bishoujo Kamen Poirtine Wiki can be found here.

Poitrine, Kamen Rider Black, Might Morphin’ Power Rangers and maybe even Super Sentai are acknowledged in this video about magical girl transformations in anime by Get In the Robot. Ultraman makes an appearance too, but this whole thing started as a nod to Ishinomori whose birth and death anniversaries are imminent at the time of this writing, so I am not emphasizing that here.
