Camp| #Tokutember2020 Day 10

Patrolling for dangerous creatures can be lonely work, but it sometimes takes you to beautiful places.

I love the SSSP designs, from their ships and weapons to those fabulous uniforms. This guy’s suit is (I hope!) obviously designed to homage the SSSP uniforms from the original Ultraman. Since the first episode featured campers and I figured these folks would be equipped with emergency gear in case their jets ever crashed, I thought it would to show this ranger fellow camping. I imagine he is tracking some kind of threat, or maybe even patrolling in this area where the threat is known to emerge, so he has to be on standby. I think he likes the wilderness after spending so much time waiting for something dangerous to happen.

By the way, my wife though the tree stump he is sitting on looked like something weird coming out of his butt. I added some shading to it, so hopefully you don’t see what she did.

ONE MORE THING: I would love it if you would check out my review of the Rise of Ultraman comic that would be fantastic!

Keep coming back as I tackle the rest of the prompts throughout September. I am determined to make it every day this year!

Looking over all these prompts has my wheels spinning and I really want to make a little toku-inspired project for kids. I am thinking something about health. Maybe three little adventures in a single book with a team composed of an homage to Sentai, Rider and Ultra. I don’t really draw cute, so I would love to chat with a more versatile illustrator who would be interested in working together.
