Captain America Comics #11 December 5, 1941*

Captain America: “The Case of the Squad of Mystery”
Captain America: “The Feud Murders”
Captain America: “The Symphony of Terror”

Writer: Stan Lee
Penciller: Al Avison
Inker: Syd Shores

*I got the “on sale date” listed above from Mike’s Amazing World of Comics, a resource I will lean on more in the future [LINK]

This issue feels like Avison and Shores pulling out all the stops to make the absence of Kirby and Simons less noticeable. They hit a lot of the same highlights and do a lot of the most Cap and Bucky things they can in how the visuals are presented. Lee’s writing feels distinct, but fun and mostly in the spirit of what has come before. I don’t mind the change so far.

Visit my RedBubble store for some designs I have made. I am working on making a whole series of Comic stuff that I think you’ll like.
