I was wary of the Spider-Verse event and then the movie. I was wrong about the movie, but it looks like my Spidey sense was on point regarding the comics, at least the first two events. I think Dan Slott and Marvel Editorial were just going for a cash grab. Learning that there have been multiple Spider-Verse events has made me more certain of that. I have a couple problems with this: it’s transparent, it’s low quality, it’s just a gimmick with almost no follow through. My kid got me to read her Spider-Gwen and it piqued my interest in the Spider-Verse and it was a let down.
