Spider-Gwen: Most Wanted? #1-5 February 25, 2015 – June 10, 2015

Writer: Jason Latour

Artist: Robbi Rodriguez

Letterer: Clayton Cowles

Colorist: Rico Renzi

Spider-Gwen is weird to me. The movie version is good. The Comic version feels redundant and like she can’t stand on her own. That being said, there are elements of Earth 65 Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman I do enjoy. The problem is that most of the parts of Gwen I like are just things she was given from Peter. She feels like an imitation and a duplication and that isn’t good enough. There are other issues I had with the joke writing, select art and some editorial decisions that feel woke and thoughtless. Check out the full review.

If you need a good “alternate” Spidey story, you need to read Spider-Man Life Story by Zdarsky and Bagley. If you want to branch out from Spider-Man, you should check out The Rise of Ultraman! I have been really enjoying it and am looking forward to the next issue. Analysis of Rise of Ultraman 4 is imminent!

Visit my RedBubble store for some designs I have made. I am working on making a whole series of Comic stuff that I think you’ll like.
