SYNOPSIS
21 years ago, a peach-shaped capsule flowed in front of a man. There was a baby in it…
In the present, Haruka Kito, a high school girl who won the manga award for her debut work “First Love Hero”, suddenly comes to a turning point.
She is attacked by a mysterious monster, helped by a mysterious hero, and after putting on mysterious sunglasses, she could see the mysterious world… and she transformed into a mysterious hero “Oni Sister”.
What appeared before Haruka was the bright red hero “Don Momotaro” with a flashy peach on his forehead.
NEGATIVE
Pheasant looks rough
Monster designs are a bit muddy. Are Yoppy and Olypian Knight guy the same type of monster or different? I couldn’t tell
The Pacing may have been too fast
POSITIVE
Tarou’s/Don Momotaro’s fighting is so entertaining
The partial team is fun. I like it to build over time.
Mook designs are solid
REFLECTIONS
-Pink looks bad. The actor seems cool and I liked seeing him save people from falling debris because it was done so deftly. Seeing him stand and walk around though was tough. I hope they use more clever shots to make him look good. Why not stilts? Stilts could work, right?
-Are there at least two villain groups? Blue Knight/Ultra and those things possessing people? Did the Knight monster that Blue Knight turned the Olympian into look too similar to the Yoppy/ping pong monster? As in, are they made with the same design sense, suggesting a single creator? I will track that, because they should look distinct if they are meant to be distinct.
-What does Taro mean when he says “Some Bonds Aren’t Meant to Be” and how will that effect the rest of the show?
DIRECTION
-Are they using a drone for the fights?
-Haruka’s knee-slide gag was really fun
-Tarou’s fighting style is amazing! Tha acrobatics were awesome. I even liked the ridiculous CGI boomeranging sword
-The Avatar Battlefield looks fabulous!
-The cockpit and mech interaction is so dynamic
WRITING
-Haruka is a manga-ka HS’er with a boyfriend. She becomes Oni Sister
-An app game gives here yellow glasses, that come out of her phone. They allow her to see strange creatures who are in people or who are hiding as people
-Hanamura/Yoppy is a jealous guy from her class
Why did a blue Ultraman save Haruka?
So… the show is about bonds. Red/Tarou “I Carry good luck”
Haruka’s fortune reversal is super-interesting
Who chose Haruka?
Why is Peach Dad in Avatar Jail?
Why did Oni Sister teleport to Yoshioka attacking the Olympic Ping Pong guy?
Blue Knoght says Yoppy has “lost to his greed” and that is why he fights them
Tarou “Some bonds aren’t meant to be”
The Avatar plane has some effect on the real world. How much? How far will that go?

Avataro Sentai Donbrothers is a Japanese television series. It is the 46th in Toei’s Super Sentai series. Its Momotarō-themed Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger The show succeeded Kamen Rider Revice line-up Super Hero Time to Avataro Sentai Donbrothers in premiered March 6, 2022, on TV Asahi.

The series theme is based on the legend of Momotarō and Virtual Reality. Because of this, many of the show’s graphics are styled to resemble traditional Japanese watercolor brush paintings, and the series makes more extensive uses of CGI than past productions.
