The Good, The Bad, and The Confusing
Pacing Issues and Unclear Plot Points
- The episode felt crammed, possibly due to cuts from a longer version
- Confusion around Earth Garon’s origins and the V99 alien technology
- Dobashi’s backstory and the V99 conflict felt rushed
Emotional Resonance
- Gento’s family moments were touching
- The final scene with SKaRD were cozy and hopeful
- Callbacks to THE classic Ultra finishing move was satisfying
Kaiju Team-Up
- Seeing Blazar-exclusive kaiju plus Demaaga helping Earth was cool
- The kaiju defense strategy was creative and fun
Thematic Elements
- Fear as a destructive force (echoing Ultraman Z)
- The cycle of violence and misunderstanding
- Hope for peace and new beginnings
Unanswered Questions
- How was Gento’s health issue resolved?
- What happened to the Demaagas after their previous appearance?
- Will Gento ever tell his family the truth?
Final Thoughts
While the finale had its share of emotional highs and exciting moments, it also suffered from pacing issues and unclear plot points. The resolution felt a bit rushed, but the overall message of hope and the callbacks to Ultra tradition were satisfying.
