Kamen Rider Zeztz 30 Proves Toku Fans Are Easy

At least, this toku fan is.

I had all these issues with Catastrom. I wanted to have this deeper conversation about power. What it means to wield power responsibly. What it means to act morally and nobly. That is what I was talking about in my Zeztz 29 analysis.

But by the middle of Episode 30, I did not really care anymore.

There are so many revelations here. So many big moments. But the one I want to focus on is simple.

Orderm shows up.

And suddenly… all is forgiven.

The Visual Storytelling Is Doing the Heavy Lifting

I have to praise the visual storytelling. It is excellent.

Catastrom is bulky. Loud. Cracked. Orange everywhere. It looks unstable. Violent. Like it is breaking apart.

That is the point.

Orderm flips that completely.

Now Baku is slim. Clean. Controlled. The bulk is gone. The structure becomes open space. Lines instead of mass. Movement instead of force.

Even the gestures change.

Catastrom pounds.
Orderm flows.

That alone tells the story.

Orderm is not just stronger. It is better.

This Solves the Problem… Maybe Too Well

Here is where things get interesting.

In Episode 30, Baku is forced into a real moral problem.

Minami is the Nightmare.

So what do you do?

Destroy the Nightmare and lose her
Or hesitate and fail

That is the tension. That is the whole point.

And then Orderm shows up and removes the problem entirely.

Now he can separate the victim from the Nightmare.
Now he can destroy the enemy without hurting the person.

The dilemma is gone.

The “Trolley Problem” Just Disappeared

This reminds me of what happens in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.

At a certain point, the hero gets enough power that he does not have to choose anymore.

He does not have to sacrifice.
He does not have to pick who loses.

He can just… save everyone.

That is exactly what happens here.

Instead of choosing between outcomes, Baku gets a third option.

And I like that.

But it is also a little bit of a cop-out.

Why It Still Works Anyway

Here is the key.

It is not the suit.

It is what the suit represents.

Orderm is not just stronger. It is controlled power.

Catastrom was raw force.
Orderm is intentional force.

That is a meaningful progression.

It shows Baku is not just gaining power.
He is learning how to use it.

And that is enough for me to let go of my earlier frustrations.

Final Thought

I wanted to stay mad about Catastrom.

I wanted to keep pushing on the moral questions.

But Zeztz 30 does something very effective.

It gives me a better answer.

Not by resolving the tension
But by evolving past it

And honestly…

That worked on me.

Did it work on you? Let’s talk about it.
