Co-Sleeping

Writing is a labor of love. In order to transform it into a labor I can get paid for, I am treating it like a job. Putting in a minimum of 12 minutes, Monday-Friday, I will work one hour each week at writing. Here I go!

I sleep better than the the princess on the pea
Not a solid night of sleep in years and yet
Four years, two kids, one snoring husband
And I get more sleep than most folks would bet

This family bed is full to bursting
Doing time living that mom life, where work is never done
We shuffle in sheets like a nocturnal dance troupe
It’s almost all good when I open my eyes and see my little ones

Two distinct approaches to a poem about co-sleeping. I wonder what my wife will say about them
