Star Wars: The Bad Batch 111 Devil’s Deal July 9, 2021
Writer: Tamara Becher-Wilkinson
Story Editor: Matt Michnovetz
Director: Steward Lee
Score: Kevin Kiner
As the seeds of rebellion foment on an outer rim world, the Empire schemes to squash it.

Bad
-This show is supposed to be about the Bad Batch, right? This was more like Star Wars: Ryloth’s Rebellion
-Does this mess with the origin of Hera and Chopper? It seems off to me. It kind of took me out of it
-Cham Syndulla referring to “so much war” after the Clone War was ONLY 3 years. It seems a little world. It’s definitely out of touch with the US Afghan War which has lasted 20 years as of this time. Was Ryloth at war before the Clone War? That’s what it almost sounds like. I don’t remember that. I thought the Galaxy was mostly peaceful for a long time before the outbreak of the Clone War
Good
-Ryloth is beautiful
-Omega and Hera’s interaction
-The disarming of Ryloth is evil. The Twi’lek see it as evil. The show’s creators see it as evil. It is. Tell the Empire to come and take it.
-The Tarkin Doctrine of keeping citizens in line through fear is on full display. The Empire is shown to be malicious.
-Blurrgs!
-Cham’s reluctance to rebel
-Young Hera is cool
-The Syndulla character model look FABULOUS! The Eleni Syndulla model puts the Hera Syndulla model from Star Wars Rebels to shame. The anatomy of the model looks so great.
Score
Star Wars: The Bad Batch 111 Devil’s Deal was really good. The show looks better than ever. While this was a detour from the story of the Bad Batch, it was exciting and engaging. The evil of the Empire is on full display and I want to see the Syndullas saved from them.
