Isolated- Hollow’s Confession – Pinnacle

I never much liked home. It was cold and empty without mother. Sister always kept food on the table. Father made sure we had what we needed to survive, but they were both so distant. Quiet nights by the fire ended uneventful day after uneventful day. I had to stay safe inside, while they went about their work. I thought I knew loneliness. I did not.

I no longer feel the sun’s heat or the chill of night. I no longer feel. Did my weakness finally overtake me? Is it because I was bad? Will I meet my mother here?
