Miles to Go

Before I sleep, I think

Before I think, I sigh

Before I sigh, I feel the weight of life at my side

I once was a fool who knew I knew, I had great plans for you and you

I once felt so oppressed, I suffered so in vain

I once mistook you for myself and dreamed you ask ‘How high!?’

Now I see my ignorance and find more everyday

Now I mourn my misspent youth, I could have seized the day

Now I steal moments for myself while being there for you

The road has made us stronger

I promised you it would

Now let’s keep going farther

With Godspeed toward the good
