Before my first child was born, I dreaded nursing. I had heard so many horror stories, but I wanted to do it because of all the benefits to baby. To tell the truth it wasn’t easy or automatic, but I kept at it. I got help and things got better. Each kid brought their own challenges, but I think I benefited from breastfeeding all my kids into toddler-hood. Facing challenges is good and I think my kids got a lot out of it too, especially the older ones seeing the breastfeeding relationship with their siblings.
[My M-F Writing series is intended to make me a better writer and build towards publishing by the end of 2019. More than Milk is the current focus of these efforts to write and publish a bit each week day.]
