At the bottom of the last post (and this post) there is a link to Tsubaraya Production’s official US YouTube channel discussing the production staff’s use of Motion Capture to create high fidelity. I watched it without subtitles, but I think I got the gist of it. I think the fight choreography in this episode was fantastic because of the use of mo-cap and I will be interested to see if it continues to be utilized in future anime productions. I don’t think it is necessary, but I think it works well in the context of this show and it can be used to great effect in other projects.
