OR How I Learned to Stop Hating and Enjoy The Good Stuff

Kamen Rider Zi-O doesn’t hold my interest. I have followed it from a distance for its run. I decided that my ambivalence towards it could be a gift because not caring to keep up with it allows me to explore other Riders. I have been doing just that; Another Rider Cast is a project I have been working on where I watch and review every pair of debut episodes of Hesei-era Kamen Rider. My goal is to be finished before the end of Zi-O, I am currently getting ready to work on the Decade episode.I’m a busy guy and I keep adding more and more projects on to myself, so I have even less time to do all the things I want to do, this is where my gratitude for Zi-O comes in. It seemed like a show I might actively dislike, but instead of hate-watching it, I decided to let it go and make the most of it. My positive attitude has made me receptive to the cool stuff to come out of Zi-O: I love Ghost and Kiva, so I watched the Ghost episodes and softened my dislike for Zi-O, and I am looking forward to watching the next two episodes of Zi-O featuring Kiva. As a bonus, I have been open to the weird offshoot that is the Mirai Rider spinoff material. I especially liked Shinobi’s design and was excited to hear that it was getting a little mini-series. I checked it out and I really like it, so I’ll be covering the three episodes now that subs are out.What’s the point of all this, I guess it is: good things come to those who refuse to hate.
