SYNOPSIS
Taro, who was attacked by Sonoi, has disappeared. According to Jin Momoi, Taro will no longer return, but he will get a replacement. Later, Kousokuki appears and the rest of the Donbrothers fight it, but they are attacked by Sononi. Around the same time, a man named Jiro Momotani, who believes that he is a natural hero, appears and makes his move.
NEGATIVE
-It is starting to feel blatant when Kiji and Inu aren’t in a scene with the others.
POSITIVE
-The Cerebran Knights pressing their advantage to kill the rest of the Donbrothers is a great villainous move. I’m feeling the threat!
DIRECTION
-Saru Brother really got some time to shine during his action scenes. That whole second fight was splendid. The AR fight was a real spectacle. Kudos to the team for expertly blending effects.
WRITING
-The characters are behaving like rational actors in this wild world; they dismiss Jirou because of his looks; they take logical steps to bring back Tarou; Tsuyoshi wants to extract vengeance from whoever hurt Miho, the fact that it happens to be Inuzaka is going to make for great conflict.
GENERAL NOTES
-What did Kaito mean when he said he was worried that Tarou’s own strength would be his downfall?
-Jin’s view on grieving Tarou is odd
-I like Sonoi being rocked by compromising his values
-Why can’t the Bestials be killed?
-I like Haruka feeling some guilt for Tarou’s death
-It’s weird that Jirou has no powers to start
-OH BOY, Miho and Inuzaka MEET AT LAST!!!
-I am glad they asked to use the Kibi Points, but it was a bit too bad it worked
-That was an awkward cut to the other companions, Kiji and Inu. They lampshaded it, but that doesn’t really make it better…
-The Avatar World battle stage is so cool. The blending of effects and techniques is wonderful!
-The Kibi Points DIDN’T work. That’s neat!
-I like that Momtani is excited that Momoi Tarou is gone because it gives him a chance to step up and be the hero he was born to be
-I can’t believe they are going so hard on the Tsuyoshi Hitotsuki idea. That’s AMAZING!
REFLECTIONS

The episode was a little all over the place. I like the subversion, and that the Kibi Points didn’t work and there was an off-beat vibe to it the whole time, but something was not quite right.

Avataro Sentai Donbrothers is a Japanese television series. It is the 46th in Toei’s Super Sentai series. Its Momotarō-themed Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger The show succeeded Kamen Rider Revice line-up Super Hero Time to Avataro Sentai Donbrothers in premiered March 6, 2022, on TV Asahi.

The series theme is based on the legend of Momotarō and Virtual Reality. Because of this, many of the show’s graphics are styled to resemble traditional Japanese watercolor brush paintings, and the series makes more extensive uses of CGI than past productions.
