SYNOPSIS
Haruka’s aunt, Yuriko, has been kidnapped by the Anoni. If our heroes want her back, they need to capture and isolate the natural enemies of the Anoni: the Juto. On the list of Juto given by the Anoni includes Tsuyoshi’s wife, Miho. Tsuyoshi decides to track down Miho, even though he doesn’t believe that she is a Juto. Haruka also finds a familiar name on the list…

-Haruka’s aunt fighting off the Anoni was COOL! There was a moment where you saw her switch from surprised to ready to rumble – excellent!
-Aunt Yuriko was hilarious enjoying being kidnapped by her handsome hoodlums
-I loved seeing the Anoni kidnapping crew ask the Donbrothers for help
-I loved seeing the Cerebran Knights ask the Donbrothers for help
-The complexity of the Beastials is intriguing, though we just have a hint of what it is.
WHATS
-Why are Anoni and Cerebran Knights reaching out to the Donbros unbeknownst to each other? Aren’t they on the SAME team?
-Are we really sticking with the GAG that Sonoza has bound Muramase’s might with manga pages?
-What do the Penguins DO?!?!?!?
-Are Cats, Cranes and Penguins supposed to confirm to the apparent Land, Sky and Water motif that the Cerebran Knights sort of have? Do you remember “The Council” spoke to them through a a dog, a pigeon and a fish? Yes, that happened. That’s wild so I will group them real quick. Land: dog, cat. Sky pigeon, crane. Water: fish, penguin. Is that the pattern or am reading this wrong?

Episode 30: 8/10
I was thoroughly entertained by this episode, despite how sideways it was. The Hitsosuki plot was vapor. The Anoni and Cerebran disconnect doesn’t make sense. The Beastial part of the story has been too long in coming. Haruka and aunt Yuriko are comedy gold and the flawed, human story of the Don Clan and the nuanced reality of the Bastials is fascinating. A faction of them are bad, just like us humans. No group is a monolith. I love that idea, the truth it reveals and the wild, wacky ways it is being shown in this wild show.

Avataro Sentai Donbrothers is a Japanese television series. It is the 46th in Toei’s Super Sentai series. Its Momotarō-themed Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger The show succeeded Kamen Rider Revice line-up Super Hero Time to Avataro Sentai Donbrothers in premiered March 6, 2022, on TV Asahi.
The series theme is based on the legend of Momotarō and Virtual Reality. Because of this, many of the show’s graphics are styled to resemble traditional Japanese watercolor brush paintings, and the series makes more extensive uses of CGI than past productions.
