It is funny (to me) how I keep drawing connections between this Ultraman story and other science-fiction. This week, I saw a lot of similarities between the way the SSSP operate and the MIB. It is more conceptual and surface level, but there definitely are parallels. That’s a consequence of handling similar subject matter, I am sure. Of course, Ultraman has its own flavor, but it is still fun to think about the two side by side to see how the idea of aliens secretly living on earth can be handled.
