Episode 12 The Cry of Life September 12, 2020
Writer: Toshizo Nemoto
Director: Masayoshi Takesue
Ten years ago, a monster crashed to Earth and fell into a deep sleep. Now that monster, Grigio Raiden, has awakened! Z faces off against the monster, but something is wrong with Haruki… King Joe STORAGE Custom fights hard to follow the lackluster Z. How will this battle end?

ULTRA-BAD
-If I have to put something here, I will throw in something relevant that relates to stories I have been thinking of lately. Why do so many stories have to have their hero facing the problems they themselves created? Is that any good? Is it overplayed? The idea that Grigio Raiden was studied to make Sevenger and Windom is neat I suppose, but the fact that STORAGE or the Allied Forces kind of mangled it and potentially made it go berserk is something I could call bad if I wanted to. Honestly, it comes down to execution and I thinki this was well executed.
ULTRA-COOL
-The instrumental and emotional version of Chant My Name or the Z opening is FANTASTIC!
-Yuko operating all 4 parts of King Joe was a big surprise. That was such a cool sequence!
-The MUSIC in that ad for the RoU is soooo good! Where is it from?
-Grigio Raiden Siphoning Windom to power its canon was so visceral and creepy and dangerous
ULTRA-GOOD
-The debate between Yuko and Haruki on dealing with kaiju was great. Her conclusion about wanting to take on the responsibility because of how terrible it is, is quite moving.
-I though they were going to kill Yoko. Her final desperate assault on it was so well done, I thought it was going to be her end.
ULTRA-DEEP
-Was Grigio Raiden crying or was Haruki just imagining that? Does it matter?
-Can Haruki be the hero if he can’t kill anymore kaiju?
-How does this change the show?

Series Synopsis
Once, shards of evil called “Devil Splinters” were scattered across space, throwing the galaxy into chaos. At that time, Ultraman Z, a new member of the Inter Galactic Defense Force who sought out Ultraman Zero as a mentor, comes down to Earth while chasing the Ferocious Space Shark Genegarg. On Earth, the Anti-Monster Robot Force STORAGE is formed to face down the monsters that appear on a daily basis. In his first battle, Z merges with Haruki Natsukawa, a new pilot of STORAGE. Together, they rise up to protect the peace! However, behind the scenes, the parasitic lifeform Celebro has set a terrifying plot into motion…
