SYNOPSIS
Seeing Tsubasa successfully evade the police, a woman named Mizuho offers to take him as her apprentice. She wants to steal the painting called “Secret”, a masterpiece by the late genius painter, Takeo Aota. Mizuho’s greed for the painting cause her to become Kagakuki, but she hesistates to attack people and stops moving. Tsubasa senses that something is going on decides to listen to Mizuho’s story.
“Secret” is to be auctioned off, Tsubasa and Mizuho attend said auction to make a winning bid. However, Haruka and Tsuyoshi are also after “Secret”.

-There is no explanation as to why a Hitotsuki must be defeated in combat rather than let them run their course
-Jirou came out of nowhere! WHY MUST THIS PERSIST!?

-Mizuho threatening to expose Tsubasa was delightful shtick
-Mizuho and Takeo’s romance and flirtation were on point, kudos to those two selling the relationship on so little, especially with “I hate you”
-This painting fight is wild!
-That new combination is cool. The horse is even wearing sunglasses!
WHATS
-Mizuho being able to control herself as a Hitotsuki is novel. I think it is the first time so far
-LOL Tora Jirou has that robe for no reason. Why?
-Did the painting always show Takeo or is that part of the magic of love?

Episode 28: 9/10
This is the best filler episode in all of Donbros! The story, the love and the tension of Mizuho getting the painting back and then destroying it at the end were wonderful! The fights were solid and both Hitsosuki designs were really good. I like the “A + B = EXPLOSION” concept behind it and how it stood for love and the relationships in the show.

Avataro Sentai Donbrothers is a Japanese television series. It is the 46th in Toei’s Super Sentai series. Its Momotarō-themed Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger The show succeeded Kamen Rider Revice line-up Super Hero Time to Avataro Sentai Donbrothers in premiered March 6, 2022, on TV Asahi.
The series theme is based on the legend of Momotarō and Virtual Reality. Because of this, many of the show’s graphics are styled to resemble traditional Japanese watercolor brush paintings, and the series makes more extensive uses of CGI than past productions.
