PROCESS AND THOUGHTS
I am in the midst of 36 hour fast #2. It went well last week and I feel fine now, even though I had a rough night, one of the perks of parenthood. I had a long weekend splurge from Thursday night to Saturday night and I was worried I would have been back up to 215. I was glad to be just shy of 210 this morning. I have been listening to a lot of Thomas DeLauer and Dr. Ken Berry as I shift my mindset for long-term, or lifelong fitness. They both talk a lot about the benefits of IF and I have been encouraged to focus on using it as a tool to help me. That is what I plan to do as long as I continue to feel good. I ate much cleaner last week and I plan to eat even cleaner this week. I don’t want a cheat day to erase all my gains. I may consider a carnivore OMAD approach for one week to see what results it yields. Barry recently said that approach should have a profound effect on visceral fat which is the biggest issue for me.
